We're very excited to announce the first acts confirmed for Lines of Flight 2011. The festival is to be held at Chicks Hotel in Port Chalmers, just 10 minutes drive out of Dunedin, Aotearoa/New Zealand.
Dates are 24th, 25th and 26th March 2011.
Line-up confirmed so far:
- The Dead C
- Alastair Galbraith
- Omit
- Our Love Will Destroy the World
- Eye
- Kannazuki (Peter Wright, Antony Milton and David Kahn)
- Kusum Normoyle (Australia)
- Stanier Black-Five
- Mela
- Seht (with Kim Pieters)

There are several more to be confirmed, but this should get you salivating! Lines of Flight was first held in 2000 as a festival for experimental/improvised music and film, and this will be the 6th time it has been held. It is part of the Dunedin Fringe Festival, and showcases the finest in New Zealand sonic exploration.
The three evening shows will be at the historic Chicks Hotel, and the Saturday day-time show will be at the Port Chalmers Masonic Lodge (another wonderful space).
All out-of-town and overseas people keen to experience this amazing event should book flights now!
Stay tuned for more announcements in the next week or two.
END
That is an amazing collection. Can't wait!
