All great lineups, and we can't wait! Many acts will be accompanied by films, and we'll talk more about this in the coming weeks. The opening act Seht will be accompanied by a new film by Dunedin artist/filmmaker/musician Kim Pieters, specially made for Lines of Flight.

We'll sort out some transport options for people getting back into town at the end of the nights, as we did last time. More information will be posted on this later. For those out-of-towners who don't know, Port Chalmers is 10 minutes drive out of Dunedin along the west side of the harbour.

Keep checking the blog as we will continue to update information as it comes to hand.

Lines of Flight update

Okay, let's get this blog happening. It is 24 days til the festival, and we have pretty much finalised the line-ups for each of the four shows.

We'll post them in the next day or two, but highlights include Wellington's Seht opening the festival with a beautiful Kim Pieters film on the Thursday night, the mighty Dead C closing out the Friday night after Sydney's Kusum Normoyle shakes up the crowd, Alastair Galbraith doing a very rare performance of his fire organ at the Port Chalmers Masonic Lodge on the Saturday afternoon, and Dunedin's finest sci-fi punk band The Futurians finishing things off on Saturday night in joyous fashion.

We send our thoughts to everyone up in Christchurch, and this includes several of the acts in this year's line-up. We look forward to having them down here, and making them part of this community.

Sadly Omit has had to omit himself from the line-up (to his disappointment), but we have 15 acts and they are all unmissable. From now on this blog and the accompanying facebook page (note to self - set up facebook page) will be regularly updated, so keep checking in, and circulate this to everyone you know.
